Star Wars: Flying Casual
Internal Medicine Doctor
At the end of the Clone Wars, with the Jedi exterminated and Palpantine’s rise to power as Emperor of the newly-formed Galactic Empire, he subjugated and enslaved the Mon Calamari and occupied Mon Cala. In response, the Mon Calamari threw their weight behind the Alliance to Restore the Republic and played an important role in supplying warships to the Alliance Fleet.

Moist Environments: When in moist environments Mon Calamari receive a +1D bonus to all Dexterity, Perception and Strength attribute and skill checks. This is purely a psychological advantage.
Dry Environments: When in very dry environments, Mon Calamari seem depressed and withdrawn. They suffer a -ID penalty to all Dexterity, Perception and Strength attribute and skill checks. Again, this is psychological only.
Aquatic: Mon Calamari can breathe both air and water and can withstand extreme pressures found in ocean depths.

Doctor Doyaahb was born on the planet Mon Cala and moved to Coruscant to practice medicine after giving up comedy once. Despite being a self-proclaimed expert on Humans, he sometimes mixes up anatomy between Humans and Droids. He speaks, as all Mon Calamari do, with a heavy Yiddish accent. He is the nephew of famed eccentric movie celebrity Yarold Doy. On a number of occasions, Doyaahb has made mention of Ron’s character being his best friend.
Conversations Doyaahb has with Jay’s character suggests that he is only staying with this crew because of a life debt to the captain. Doyaahb is technically homeless and very poor, being a very unsuccessful “internal medicine doctor.” Although claiming it was lost in a volcano, it is very likely that Doyaahb does not actually have a medical degree but rather has a doctorate in art history. Despite his professional incompetence, he was briefly employed by the Imperial military as a surgeon.
Doyaahb is extremely poor and has stated several times that he has no home. Even worse, he is even treated like a social pariah by almost everyone he knows. He usually eats from the trash or a dumpster, mistaking the trash for food and is envious of even the smallest amounts of money due to his lack of knowledge in currency and economics. He is excitable about his friends and is very trusting with the crew. He appears to be rather fond of all of them, only really disliking Lindsay’s character’s 4Q2 droid.
While he may seem like a dumb, incompetent doctor due to his frequent surgical mishaps and misdiagnoses, Doyaahb proves he is far from stupid as he has knowledge in alien anatomy (not human, though he is a self-proclaimed “human expert”) and has a Ph.D. in Art History. It has been questioned many times as to why Jay’s character does not fire him since he has shown to be vastly incompetent at his job.
