The Rim Securities’ B2 unit is a popular model of defense droid, particularly in the Outer Rim Territories. 4Q2’s body was manufactured in a factory on Vulpter, with a similar design to the Baktoid Combat Automata B2 battle droids. 4Q2 was built without a backup unit, which is meant to help him backup data so that if his body is destroyed he could upload his data into another body if he wants. Without this unit, he was recognized as defective and therefore not to tarnish Rim Securities he would need to be destroyed.
Lindsay’s character found his body in a scrapyard and transferred a 4Q Cybot Galactica matrix into him. The 4Q Cybot Galactica matrix-powered security droid returned to life and introduced himself as 4Q2. After Lindsay’s character imprinted herself as 4Q2’s new master, she set the droid to work helping Carl’s character out in the cockpit with sensors, shields, and comm.
4Q2 gambles, smokes cigars, consorts with hookerbots, has 100,000 terabytes of porn on his hard drive, and is constantly trying to gain attention to boost his already over-inflated ego.
